About Us

Since its founding in 1998, Pomegranate Arts – led by Linda Brumbach and Alisa E. Regas – has built and toured works of art that realize an artist’s singular vision. Our practice aims to challenge the traditional notions of how a work can be realized, where it can be enjoyed, who makes or receives it, and under what circumstances.

We specialize in producing artist-driven arts projects built in close creative and financial partnership with the project’s lead creators. Pomegranate productions often represent the artist’s boldest endeavors – ambitious in scale and complex in structure. We aim to build coalitions between artists and arts presenters from the ground up, allowing each artist to bring their vision to life and to sustain the community built around a project over time.

The works we produce often mark an inflection point in an artist’s career, either propelling them to a new level of economic stability and international reach, or launching them in a new sector. This is a vulnerable moment for an artist, involving considerable risk, and we infuse our practice with creative strategy, a depth of knowledge gained from long-term industry experience, and hands-on comprehensive care. We connect our artists and their expansive communities of creative collaborators with a network of diverse global presenters and industry colleagues.

Our small team supports multiple artists and their productions at any given time. Even as a boutique company, we are often the sole infrastructure of extended artistic communities brought together for each project.

As an independent creative producer, we work closely with each artist to create a production strategy and roadmap. Our team acts as fundraiser, general manager, bookkeeper, company manager, production manager, marketing/PR strategist and coordinator, and active creative consultant. All the while we provide ongoing troubleshooting and creative support.

In addition to the projects for which we serve as creative producers, Pomegranate Arts serves as the North American Tour Representation and Producer for select international touring performance projects.

Pomegranate Arts is a proudly woman-owned and led independent creative production company. We are based in New York City but work globally — over twenty-five years our projects have been experienced in fifty countries and five continents, engaging with a diverse cross-section of artistic communities and disciplines ranging from performances to museum exhibitions, recording projects, art objects, and film.

Pomegranate Arts is a founding member of CIPA, the Creative and Independent Producers Alliance, and we are an active member of the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) and the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP).

In 2023, Pomegranate Arts received general operating support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation — the first direct support we have received from a funding organization in our history.
